Training for Investigation and Documentation of Torture in Nis, Serbia

April 9-11, 2010

 Training for Investigation and Documentation of Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, and Hunger Strikes had been a 3 days training which was consisted of 13 sessions and held by Sebnem Korur Fincanci (Professor of Forensic Medicine, Ufuk Sezgin (Assoc. Prof. of Forensic Psychology) and Kerem Altiparmak (Ass. Prof. of Law) from Turkey, who had acted on behalf of Human Rights Foundation of Turkey, and International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims, Denmark. The Training was organized by Center for Human Rights, Nis-Serbia together with an extended Coalition of NGOs in April 9-11, 2010 in Nis. A total of 15 participants attended this course. There were 2 representatives of Serbian Medical Chamber, a medical doctor from the Coalition, psychologists, lawyers, and human rights defenders who particularly work with prisoners.
